Johanna Maartje Van Grondelle Kroemenhoek Everette first brought us her light on February 26th, 1940 in Rotterdam. She is the daughter of Henrikes Johannes Van Grondelle and Johanna Maartje Van Os.
Her early years were the building blocks of all she used to shape our futures. Through the youth of a war torn city she quickly learned to be incredibly strong. She also began a dream that we were all blessed to witness. She learned at an early age to play beautiful songs on the piano. Her talents led her to play in the Kroemenhoek residence. There she met the man who she would come to marry, Fred Kroemenhoek. The two would cross seas and start a family in Utah in the early sixties. She gave birth to her oldest son, David John Kroemenhoek on February 6th, 1964. On February 10th, 1967 she brought Paul Roger Kroemenhoek into the world. Fred and Johanna's marriage gave them many beautiful memories and a lifetime of friendship to be admired. As chapters changed she came to marry Henry Lee Everette. They had their first child on November 7th, 1975, Sarah Everette. She would give birth to her youngest son August 30th, 1977 in David Lee Everette. She brought to all her children and 15 grandchildren all the strengths, talents and love she could as she moved on to her own.
Johanna was blessed with many talents. Her music was played to many. Her sense of humor gave smiles for over half a century. She never left a mess, but didn't always keep it clean. She was honest in life and word. As she found her savior on April 9th, 2017, she gave her last breaths to ensure her ways were remembered; Take care of your family. Be honest. Work hard and be strong no matter what you face. Appreciate your gifts in the light of what glitters. And give the world the beauty we all possess. As she serenades the heavens with her grand piano, she is loved, beautiful, and missed but never forgotten. Thank you Joke'. A real hero.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Henrikes and Johanna. As she joins her parents she will be fondly remembered by many. She is survived by her brother Henrikes Johannes, her four children, and 15 beautiful grandchildren. Her legacy, as shines on through all who knew her. Her spirit now lights the sky.
Johanna Maartje Everette, 02-26-1940 to 04-09-2017. We love you.
