

Judy Ann Butterfield Montgomery (Baker) was born on January 1st, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jeanetta June (Flanders) and Elwin David Butterfield. After undergoing (open heart) surgery she passed due to complications during recovery on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024, alongside her loving husband of 18 years, her children, and her grandchildren.
She lived all her life in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the third child of five and had four siblings, all brothers. She had three loving boys. She was a single mom most of her life and raised her sons very well. Judy was hardworking, loving, and caring, and always going out of her way to make everyone happy. From small get-togethers to large gatherings, she would do anything she could, often more than needed, to make sure everyone was comfortable. Always positive with an infectious smile and laugh that drew people in, everyone loved her company. She was the glue that held the family together. She loved to travel and go on adventures with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Elwin D. Butterfield, J. June Flanders Butterfield.
She is survived by her Husband Lynn Montgomery, her 4 brothers Charlie, Dave (Brenda), Jim (Debbie) & Steve (Michelle), her 3 sons Zach (Pamela), Nate & Josh (Catia), stepchildren Burk (Meg), Toby and Cori (Scott) and 8 grandchildren Samantha, Bruna, Carly, Lorelai, Toren, Kellan, Kennedy, and Dallas.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 24th from 2:00 pm to 5:00pm at Valley View Memorial Park at 4335 w 4100 s in West Valley CIty.
