Juna Dolly Loebrick Nay was born a child of the Great Depression on April 15, 1928 to Herman August Loebrick and Eva Lenore Rick in Marysvale, Utah. She is their last surviving child with all of her siblings preceding her in death; Jay, Devere, Leo, Oma, Fern, Bova and Glenna. Juna passed away on February 26, 2017.
In the spring of 1946, she met a young man just back from serving in World War II and had a whirlwind romance that culminated in them marrying in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 5, 1946. John “Harry” Nay preceded her in death on August 7, 1995. During their time together they loved to dance, camp, fish and hunt. They built their home together in West Valley City, Utah where they raised their five children; Cheryl (George “Chip”) Kvenvold, Carol (David) Moody, Connie (Karl) Rasmuson, John (Wendy) Nay and Colleen (Ted) Conrad. She was blessed with twenty grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren (with two more on the way) and four great-great grandchildren.
She worked for Litton Guidance and Control Division for twenty years and retired in 1983. She was a member of the LDS Church.
Juna had many loves in life- her family being one. She loved travelling the world- going on multiple cruises and tours worldwide. She loved slot machines and going on the Fun Bus to Wendover. She loved sing-alongs with family and friends. She loved the Utah Jazz- through thick and thin. She loved spending the winter months in the warmer climates of Arizona and California- snowbirding via motorhome- even after Harry had sold their motorhome prior to his death, she went out and bought her own and would drive it by herself. And then she joined a singles RVing group!
Mom, we hope your reunion in heaven with our dad and your family was amazing. We love you.
To our sweet KayeLynn: Thank you for all you have done for your grandmother over the last year. Because of your care, sacrifice and love she was able to stay in her beloved home.
The family would like to thank Horizon Hospice, especially Rebecca and Monica for their love, respect and care they gave to our mother this last year. Your treatment of her was greatly appreciated.
