Katherine "Kathy" Hollingsworth Petersen

Katherine Hollingsworth Petersen passed peacefully from this life on October 15th 2024 surrounded by loved ones. She was born to Kenneth Merlin Hollingsworth & Jeannine (Nini) Anderson Hollingsworth on August 29th 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the 3rd of 6 children. She attended Cyprus High School & Utah Technical College. She enjoyed her time working with USA Today as well as a florist. She especially enjoyed working with children at Head Start.

She enjoyed playing games with her family, especially Yahtzee. She enjoyed crafting & decorating. The love of her decorations for holidays was unmatched & will never be forgotten by her family. She enjoyed going to the cabin in Fairview & racing her Blue Razor. She carried on the love of Birds, just like her father.

She was the most compassionate, selfless, nurturing, strong, wise, caring, inspiring, thoughtful, generous, warm, radiant, loving & unwavering person we’ve all ever known. Which highlighted her ability to provide love, care, guidance & stability in all of her roles.

She leaves behind her loving husband Mike Petersen married November 23rd 1982, 3 sons Nathan (Giang), Cory (Dezeree) & Hayden, (Gary the cat), 9 Grandchildren & 5 Great grandchildren.
