Kenneth Neal Whitehead

Born October 15, 1947 to Donald and Iona Whitehead.

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Ken passed away May 2, 2016 at his home from cancer. Ken was a gentle, good, kind, family man who always put his family first. He was loved by everyone who had any contact with him. What a legacy, to have all that love to take with him. Ken received a heart transplant in 2010 and has done great thanks to Dr. Renlund and Dr. Kfoury and the entire Intermountain Medical Heart Transplant team.

We love all of you for your loving care given to Ken thru the years. Ken coached many Midvale youth basketball and baseball teams throughout the years and was instrumental with the County completing Hillcrest- Union ballpark. Ken loved all sports, especially football and golfing with his 3 sons.

Ken is survived by his wife Susan of 48 years and his 3 sons, Shawn (Lori), Brett (Arleen), Jerry (Cindy) and 15 wonderful grandchildren who completed his life. He has 3 brothers Jerry (Charlene), Ron (Merilyn), Bob and 3 sisters Norma (Kelvin), Marilyn and Cheryl (Mike) and many dear friends. Preceded in death by his parents.

Viewings in his honor will be held May 9, 2016 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and May 10 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Valley View Mortuary located at 4335 West 4100 South followed by a graveside service.
