Kent was an extremely hardworking and talented man. Growing up with a father who worked construction, Kent naturally followed in those footsteps. He was employed as a Superintendent by Keller Construction for forty years prior to his recent retirement. Many may have observed his meticulous attention to detail if you have been to a McDonald’s and Starbucks stores throughout the western United States. With every car ride Kent was able to point out buildings he had built or jobs currently in his care. He took great pride in his work.
In his spare time Kent could be found building, remodeling, or enjoying his newest passion of woodworking on the lathe. Kent was always creating something wonderful with his hands.
He also loved camping, water skiing, and fishing.
Kent is survived by his parents, Art Sherman and Joan Robbins; Sisters, Sharon and Julie; Daughters, Jennifer and Meagan; Stepdaughter, Amber; Seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Kent was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Sherman; Grandparents; Brother, Keith; Sister, Elaine; and Niece, Melissa.
The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Peter Maughan and the IMC Shock Trauma ICU for their compassionate care, as well as his girlfriend, Tamara Rogers, whom he dearly loved.
A graveside service will be scheduled for springtime to allow out-of-town family members to attend.
