MarDee Ann (Clark) Lindsey

Beloved Wife, Mother, Nana, Sister, Aunt and Dear Friend, passed away on March 10th, 2022 after a long and courageous fight with cancer. Born on July 19th, 1949. The only daughter to Martha and Arthur Clark. Married Timothy Glenn Lindsey on May 25th 1970 and together they had two children Kelly (Garrilyn) Lindsey and Shelly Burnside. She had 8 grandchildren, Kiley Burnside, Bailey Burnside, Brock Burnside, Britin Lindsey, Alexis Lindsey, Tristan Dagley, Ashton Lindsey, Ireland Lindsey.

More than anything she loved her family. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy in life. She was very close to her parents, especially her mother Martha and her three brothers and often teased about being a rose among the thorns. Her children and grandchildren were the lights of her life. Everyone in her life including her nieces, nephews great nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends all felt the love she had for them through the warm hugs and laughter she gave whenever they were with her. She loved, and was loved very much.

She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to be a part of her life. She was extremely talented on multi levels, an accomplished writer, floral designer and crafter who at times ran her own businesses, and was also very giving. She was most giving with her time especially to her grandchildren. She always had open arms and an ear to listen when someone needed to talk.

Doing crafts with her grandchildren, cooking and baking were the things that she enjoyed the most especially in the last few years of her life. She really enjoyed watching them all grow up and seeing what wonderful people they were becoming. She was so proud of all of them. Everyone in the family had something specially handmade from MarDee that they love and looked forward to receiving.

She had a wonderful sense of humor and a fun spirit. You knew that time spent with her would be spent laughing and having fun! She always had the most ridic ulous jok es wa iting for you, you just never knew what she was going to pop up with but no matter how ridiculous, they were always hilarious and made you laugh.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tim and her brothers Larry Clark, Timothy Clark and Douglas Clark.

Survived by her son Kelly (Garrilyn) daughter Shelly and grandchildren. Sister in-laws Colleen Clark and Linda Clark. Best friend Karen Pitts, as well as her Lindsey in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2022, 3:00 pm at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. In honor of MarDee's memory the family will be hosting a Memorial Receptions for friends & family immediately following the graveside service from 4-6 pm at Valley View Funeral Home.
