Maria Ann Gilley

Maria Ann Walton-Gilley, 38, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2017 at the U of U, MICU, where she surrounded by her family and friends. She was born June 18, 1978, lived and raised in West Valley City, Utah. She worked for Transport Design, Inc as a driver recruiter for the past three years.

Maria enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved camping, boating, barbeques, listening to music but most of all she loved to snuggle with her daughters for a weekend marathon of Lifetime movies. With a heart of gold and compassionate for others, she was never one to judge, she thought of others more than she did herself and always went above and beyond to help everyone. Her beauty will shine and her memories will live forever.

Maria is survived by her two daughters, Ashlan Marie Willard and Peyton Rain Gilley; her parents, Ronald and Sarah Bauer; sisters and brother, Erika (Earvin) Payne, Jeff Walton and Sadie (Troy) Martinez; many nieces and nephews and her dogs Indie and Scrilla. Preceded in death by her husband, Kerry Gilley; father, Kent Walton and many others close to her heart.

We would like to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude all the doctors, nurses and staff at Jordan Valley and University of Utah MICU who gave such amazing care to our sweet Maria.

Viewing and Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 9:00 -10:00 then 10:00-11:00. At Valley View Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. Burial services to follow at Larkin Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah.
