Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Marilyn Smith Hacker, 81, passed away on October 26, 2013 in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on January 30, 1932 in Tooele, Utah to Kimball Messersmith and Nora McLaws. She married Robert Clyde, they later divorced. She married Leon Hacker on January 9, 1959 in Gardena, California. Marilyn enjoyed reading the newspaper every day, especially the obituaries. “Just to make sure she was not in it.” Well Mom, you made it.
She is survived by her children, Ron (Nancy) Clyde, David (Bonnie) Clyde, Rick (Nina) Clyde and Roger (Lori) Hacker; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leon Hacker and 5 siblings.
