

Beloved brother, son, father, and grandfather.
Martin Webster Rector, 57, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Holy Cross Hospital from a heart attack with his family around him.
Martin was born November 16, 1967 in Fort Hood, Texas to Franklin and JoAnne Rector.
Marty loved fishing, paddle boarding, golfing, and four wheeling with his friends, children, and family.
Marty graduated with a GED form Taylorsville High School. He was blessed to have three wonderful children, Joshua, Jacob, and Shakira; two grandchildren, Jack and Lylah, who he loved dearly.
Marty loved selling cars and trucks. He worked at Ken Garff for many years as well as other dealerships before moving onto Truck and Boat Ranch. He knew a lot about vehicles and could sell pretty much anything. Even though you didn't know you needed one.
Marty is survived by his mother, JoAnne Rector; sister, Tammie; children, Joshua, Jacob, and Shakira; grandchildren, Lylah, Jack; and so many family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Franklin Earl Rector; sister, April Rector; along with many aunts and uncles, grandparents, and nephew, Allen Norton.
Marty will be remembered for his laugh, smart mouth, and overall fiery spiritual person who enjoyed life to the fullest.
A Celebration of Life will be held October 17th, 2025 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm at the LDS church on 6200 South 6253 West in West Valley City, Utah.
