Mary Lou Lopez

Mary Lou Lopez, age 63, entered into rest on August 20, 2013 in Murray, Utah.

Mary was born September 16, 1949 in Blanco, New Mexico to Jose Fermin Marquez and Mary Ann Archuleta. She graduated from Bloomfield High School. She married Jose Jesus Lopez on November 27, 1969 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is a member of the Catholic Church. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her legacy was her family, as she loved spending time with them and always had plenty of hugs to give. She loved to read, go to Church and work in the yard. But her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Jose Jesus Lopez; children, Lawrence F. Lopez and Jessica M. (Lopez) Green; siblings, Annie Ibrra, Sally Marquez, Gloria Trujillo, Linda Miller, Tino Marquez and Marvin Marquez; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Ernest (Neto) Marquez, Bobby (Guero) Marquez, Toby Marquez and Dolorez Espinoza.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mary on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, 300 East 11800 South, Draper, Utah. The family will receive friends at a visitation Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South; with a Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
