Melvin Earl Hale passed away Friday, January 16th in Salt Lake City Utah
He was born April 25th 1933 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to Hillis H. Hale and Gertrude Mashburn. He married JoAnn Barnett on September 15 1954 in Ogden Utah
Melvin was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
He grew up in Oklahoma and California. Joined the Air Force and served in Japan during the Korean War. After the Air Force he worked as a Tile Setter until being employed at Hill Air Force Base in the electroplating shop. He retired as a landing gear inspector after 23 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, JoAnn B. Hale and a son Cory Hale. He leaves behind seven grand children and sixteen great grand children who loved him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Ann Harris, and his son Melvin Rand Hale; his brothers Johnny, Earnest and Charles Hale.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 21st from 6-8 pm and Thursday January 22nd from 12-1:00 pm. at the Valley View Funeral Home 4335 W. 4100 So. in West Valley
Services will be held Thursday, January 22nd at 1:00 pm, also at the Valley View Funeral Home.
Graveside dedication will be held at the Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial Cemetery, 1718 Combe Road. Ogden, UT.
