

Twin Falls, Idaho - Our mom, Mildred Fern Cole Vaughan (GG or GGG) has passed after living 98 wonderful years on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013. She has finally joined her beloved husband, Aubrey Leo Vaughan. She will rejoin her Aubrey and her family in heaven.
Mildred Fern Cole was born in Lamoni, Decater, Iowa, on Jan. 26, 1915, to Gilbert Fayette Fenton and Nancy Elizabeth Reed Cole. She was the eighth child of nine children. Her family was farmers and farmed in Iowa, Kansas and finally stopping in Pueblo, Colo., where she met and married the love of her life, Aubrey Leo Vaughan on Feb. 7, 1931, later to be solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They resided in Magna, Utah, for 40 years before Fern moved to Twin Falls after Aubrey passed and her health declined.
She is survived by her two children: Eloise Shirley Bringhurst (Ralph) and Aubrey Kent Vaughan (Helen). She has seven grandchildren: Kathy Brown (Glen), Ronald Brown (Jane), Roland Brown (Donnelle), Susan Thornburg (Gig), David Kent Vaughan, Kathleen Fiaco (Steve) and Steven Vaughan (Katrina). She has 14 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Fern enjoyed being with her family, gardening, traveling, dancing and cooking. She was very artistic in making her house a home and making all visitors welcome. She will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, in the Valley View Cemetery in West Valley, Utah. Arrangements are under the care of White Mortuary “Chapel by the Park” in Twin Falls.
