Naomi was born to Madelyn Elardo and Euray Allred on February 8, 1944 in Mount Pleasant, Utah. She grew up in Fountain Green, Utah and the mountains of the Manti-La Sal. She graduated from North Sanpete High School in 1962, Snow College in 1964, and Beauty School in 1966.
Naomi served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Netherlands from 1966-68. Her love of Holland remained with her the rest of her life as she kept up Dutch traditions and maintained lifelong friendships with a couple of her companions.
She met her husband, Doug, on a blind date in October of 1975. They were married in the Manti Temple on June 25, 1976 and moved to West Valley City in the fall of 1977 where they have resided ever since.
Naomi loved to cook, sew, quilt, and buy fabric. She loved spending time with her family, being in the mountains, going to lunch with her friends, and was always up for a good game of cards.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Doug; children Carrie (Ryan) Allen and Delyn (Colby) Nuttall; step-children Lindsay (Stephani) Bennion, Lona (Marty) Sippola, Chris Bennion, and Dave (Kriste) Bennion; 14 grandchildren; one (soon to be two) great grandchildren; siblings Celes (Barney) Erickson, Phil (Susan) Allred, Jeannine (Perry) Sorensen, and Bryan (Sue) Allred.
