Ronald Richard Campbell, age 83, passed away on March 3, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born May 14, 1937 to John Wesley Campbell and Elizabeth S. Kell in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Joan Karen Ockman on June 11, 1965.
Ron started working as a switchman for the Union Pacific Railroad at the age of 18 and was able to retire from the railroad after a lengthy career. He enjoyed the outdoors and all the simple things life had to offer. He truly will be missed.
Ron is survived by his loving daughter, Roxann Bennett; grandchildren, Nikki and Santana BreeAnna; great grandchildren, Jada and Quincy. He was preceded in death by his sons, Ron Campbell, Steven Campbell; wife, Karen and his parents.
To honor Ron’s memory, a viewing will be Monday, March 8, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Valley View Funeral Home, 4100 South 4335 West, West Valley City, followed by a graveside service at Valley View Memorial Park at 11:00 am.
