Rosa Mariana Correa De Briones

Rosa was born November 1, 1953 in Paján, Manabí, Ecuador to Jesús Correa and Mariana Tumbaco. She married Boanerge Briones on November 16, 1980 and they were sealed in the Guayaquíl, Ecuador LDS Temple on July 25, 2015. They were parents to two children, Betsi and Edward. The family immigrated to the United States in 1989 and settled in West Valley and Magna, UT.

Rosa enjoyed spending time with her large extended family and was like a second mother to many of her siblings, nieces, and nephews. She was a great cook and enjoyed preparing dishes from her native Ecuador. She enjoyed traveling, hosting family gatherings, shopping with her family and being a grandmother. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for her family. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and serving others within her community. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed serving and performing temple work. She worked many years for Beehive Clothing until her retirement.

She is survived by her husband, Boanerge, her children, Angel Luís (Verónica) Correa, Betsi (Amauri) Patiño and Edward Briones, and grandchildren Yolie, Amauri Jr., Kairo and Adele. She is preceded in death by her parents.

There will be viewings Friday December 4 from 6 - 8 pm at Valley View Memorial, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT, and Saturday December 5 from 10 - 10:45 am at the Magna Central LDS Stake Center, 8181 W. Breeze Dr., Magna, UT. The funeral service will be at the Stake Center at 11:00 am and interment at Valley View Memorial Park.

Rosa Mariana Correa de Briones, de 67 años, falleció el 1 de diciembre de 2020 en su casa en Magna, UT, rodeada de muchos de sus seres queridos.

Rosa nació el 1 de noviembre de 1953 en Paján, Manabí, Ecuador de Jesús Correa y Mariana Tumbaco. Se casó con Boanerge Briones el 16 de noviembre de 1980 y fueron sellados en el Templo SUD de Guayaquíl, Ecuador el 25 de julio de 2015. Eran padres de dos hijos, Betsi y Edward. La familia emigró a los Estados Unidos en 1989 y se estableció en West Valley y Magna, UT.

Rosa disfrutaba pasar tiempo con su numerosa familia extendida y era como una segunda madre para muchos de sus hermanos, sobrinas y sobrinos. Era una gran cocinera y disfrutaba preparando platos de su Ecuador natal. Disfrutaba viajar, organizar reuniones familiares, ir de compras con su familia y ser abuela. Era una excelente costurera y disfrutaba haciendo ropa para su familia. Disfrutaba de la jardinería, la lectura y el servicio a los demás dentro de su comunidad. Era un miembro fiel de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días y disfrutaba servir y realizar la obra del templo. Trabajó muchos años para Beehive Clothing hasta su jubilación.

Le sobreviven su esposo, Boanerge, sus hijos, Angel Luís (Verónica) Correa, Betsi (Amauri) Patiño y Edward Briones, y sus nietos Yolie, Amauri Jr., Kairo y Adele. Sus padres la precedieron

en la muerte.

Habrá visitas el viernes 4 de diciembre de 6 a 8 pm en Valley View Memorial, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT, y el sábado 5 de diciembre de 10 a 10:45 am en el Magna Central LDS Stake Center, 8181 W. Breeze Dr., Magna, UT. El servicio fúnebre será en el Stake Center a las 11:00 am y el sepelio en Valley View Memorial Park.
