1947-2016
Our husband, Dad, and Bapa was born July 18, 1947 to Russell L. Solomon Sr and Emma Griffith. He graduated from West High School in 1965. Russ worked at the Union Pacific Railroad and retired after 34 years. Russ married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Verla Lindorff Solomon in 1966. They were together in life for 50 years and had three beautiful daughters. Russ enjoyed road tripping, baseball, fishing and spending time with his grandkids.
Russ is survived by his wife, his daughters; Cori (Dennis) Micek, Holli (James) Deering and Heather Solomon, grandchildren; Ricky, Jordan, Olivia, Dallas, Tanner, Saige, great grandchildren; Allee and Ricky, siblings; Kelli Penrose, Shawna Augustine and Wayne Solomon.
Preceded in death by his parents, sister Luella and grandson Eston.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City. A viewing will be held at 11:00 – 12:45 prior to the service.
