to love what death can touch.
A fearful thing
to love, to hope, to dream, to be –
to be,
And oh, to lose.
A thing for fools, this,
And a holy thing,
a holy thing
to love.
For your life has lived in me,
your laugh once lifted me,
your word was gift to me.
To remember this brings painful joy.
‘Tis a human thing, love,
a holy thing, to love
what death has touched."
Sione Leveni Toki, was born on August 8th 1963 to Sisilia Takui Livai and Teufolau Eneasi Toki. He departed this life on June 16th, 2019. Sione leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication that will echo through his posterity. He was a firm and diligent disciple of The Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter-Day Saints and strived to live a Christ-centered life. His love for Tongan culture and heritage led to the founding of The Royal Kava Bar. He was as knowledgeable as he was witty. To know him was to know hard work, perseverance, and a restlessness to get things done. For our family, he was a great example of chasing dreams and keeping God, family and country a priority. Ofa lahi atu, Dad.
