Suellen Smith Johnson, age 65, passed away May 4, 2012 in West Valley City, Utah.
She was born July 30, 1946 in Akron, Ohio to Harold Arthur Smith and Mildred Stump. She graduated from Falconer High School in Falconer, NY. Suellen married Charles Sture Johnson on September 26, 1964 in Erie, Penn. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved quilting and was an excellent writer, especially family-related articles for church magazines. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a great storyteller and found great joy in relating stories. Suellen served as a Gospel Doctirne Teacher for most of her life, and she loved the Old Testament, and she also loved road shows. Suellen is survived by her loving husband, Charles Sture Johnson; children, Todd Sture Johnson, Blair Charles Johnson, Amy Sue King, Sara Ellen Gunderson, Megan DeAnn Lytle, Amanda Kristine Miner, Tyler Mark Johnson and Errin Courtney Johnson; siblings, DeAnn Smith Whitney and Mark Eugene Smith, and 19 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold Arthur Smith and Mildred Stump Smith, and 1 granddaughter, Morgan Leigh King.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jordan Meadows Ward, 1510 W. Parliament Avenue, where friends may visit from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
