

Thomas William Errett, age 83, our dear husband, father, grandfather, and uncle passed away at his home in West Valley City, Utah on November 16, 2023 following his recent struggles with several health concerns, reuniting with his soul mate Dixie and son Monty.
Tom was born on October 6, 1940, to William and Emma Jane Morse Errett. He graduated from Cyprus High school. After High School he enlisted in the Navy. Where he Traveled to Japan, Hawaii and other places. He was avid scuba diver and made most of his own equipment to dive and absolutely loved the beauty of the ocean. Other Hobbies he had in his younger years, was running marathons, he also was car enthusiast. He also loved science and how machines work and was always thinking, he had the mind of Engineer .Which worked well when he later was working for Hercules making rockets and rocket fuel. He worked his way to being part of the plant operations management. Where he was well liked and was always found to be fair man. He retired after approximately 30 years of service.
Shortly after getting out of the Navy, he met Dixie Lewis and they were inseparable from that point on. Tom and Dixie spent most of their lives in the home Tom built in West Valley City, where they raised their children, Monty and Shari. Tom cherished every moment with Dixie—whether in their backyard garden, at the gym, or sharing coffee with friends. He delighted in visits from numerous grandchildren and was always ready to chat on the phone, no matter the interruption. Their home was a shining example of true love and always radiated warmth and happiness. In later years, you could find him caring for his beautiful garden or relaxing in his favorite chair. He loved to take long car rides with the love of his life Dixie.
Tom is survived by his daughter Shari Hughes and her husband Tad Timmler, daughter-in-law Carrie Fischer, many beloved grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
