Our beloved son, Tyler Jordan Shipley died on May 31, 2024, in Murray, Utah. He meant the world to his parents Jennifer Rowe, Edward and Sonni Shipley. Tyler was a wonderful, fun-loving guy that was a joy to everyone he met. He is survived by his Parents: Jennifer Rowe, Edward and Sonni Shipley; Siblings: Olivia Nicole Harmer ( Kurt Harmer), Edward Holden Shipley (Hope Lillianne Shipley), Emilie Michelle Shipley; Niece: Elsie Rae Roberts; Grandparents, many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, some of them honorary. Tyler also had a special relationship with his Aunt and Uncle: Aspen and Chance Dilley.
He was preceded in death by his Grandmothers: Patricia Lee Bridgford and Polly Fivas.
Tyler was born on October 29th, 2002, in Orem Utah. Tyler recently graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in film and media, and a minor in journalism.
Tyler enjoyed EVERYTHING about baseball, he enjoyed music, exploring new cities, socializing with his friends, walking, playing with his dogs: Missy and Danny, attending concerts, studying flags and geography, movies with Grandma Linda, and spending time at the beautiful gardens at Thanksgiving Point.
Even before Tyler could swing a bat, his love of baseball began. Under the inspiration of his father Edward, he was put on the path to learning everything he could about the game. Tyler grew to know the game so well, even fellow baseball enthusiasts were astonished by his knowledge.
He recently experienced his dream trip that included seven days, four stadiums, three ball games, three cities, eight parks and museums and 400,000 miles of walking. Tyler organized the trip in a way that would rival what any travel agent could ever plan. He didn’t want to miss a thing!
In a final gift to the world, Tyler was an organ donor, which has given life and hope to many recipients.
Tyler, thank you for being our son! We are so proud of you, and we love you!
