December 22, 1949 – May 25, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and fond remembrance that we announce the passing of Vaughn Joseph Weston, who left this world on May 25, 2025, at the age of 75. Vaughn was a cherished husband, a devoted father, a loving grandfather, great-grandfather, and a loyal friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on December 22, 1949, Vaughn was the beloved son of John Eldridge Weston and Beverly Jewell Miller. Vaughn shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Linda Weston, whose love and support enriched every chapter of his journey. Vaughn’s greatest joy was his family, and he took immense pride in his children. He found happiness in their achievements and made every effort to ensure they had the resources and support to accomplish whatever goals they made.
In addition to his career with EIMCO, Vaughn devoted himself to service as a temple worker for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His faith was a guiding force in his life, and his work in the temple was a testament to his commitment to serving others with compassion and humility. He found great joy and fulfillment in this sacred responsibility, strengthening his faith and the faith of those around him.
He will be remembered for his infectious whistling, his profound insights, his passion for family history, and his ability to use his engineering mind to make the impossible corrections work around the home, even if they did not always have the most cosmetically pleasing look.
Vaughn’s legacy lives on through Linda, his children: Robert Weston (Amy), Angela Humphrey (Dan), Rachelle Weston, and Raymond Weston (Heather) his 12 grandchildren, and his 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Richard, his mother and his father, and his brother Dean.
A public viewing will occur on May 29, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home (4335 W. 4100 S. West Valley City, UT 84120). Additional viewing time will be available on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Westwood Heights Ward (3976 W. Dimrall Dr. Taylorsville, UT 84118), with a service to honor Vaughn’s life beginning at 12 p.m.
Though Vaughn is no longer physically with us, his spirit remains—etched into the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply cherished.
