Wanda Catherine Coon

1930-2012

Magna, Utah. Wanda Coon, our loving caring and beautiful wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 82 surrounded by her family. She was born in Hunter, Utah a daughter of Earl and Violet Rushton. She was married to Kenneth B. Coon for 63 wonderful years. They were sealed in the Jordan River Temple in April of 2003.

Wanda loved to square dance and traveling with her husband, Ken. She was adored by her grandchildren and children. She was a member of the LDS Church. Wanda was employed at Cyprus High School lunch room, for 23 years.

She is survived by her husband, Ken Coon; brother, David Rushton; son, Dee Coon; daughter, Jody Clark, and brother-in-law, Ralph Peterson; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Peterson and daughter, Pam Ward

The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Joseph Villa for the excellent care given to Wanda.

She will truly be missed by her loved ones.

Funeral services for Wanda will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 12:00 noon at the Spencer 4th Ward, 8181 West Breeze Drive, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
