Words from Josh:
She was far more than just my mother. My mom was my first and best teacher, my wisest counselor, my best friend, and my closest confidant. She was my compass and shelter through the storms of life, and the first person to laugh with me when the storms passed. I could always count on her having a smile and words of encouragement for me when times were tough. Spending time with her never failed to brighten my days. She showed me her undying love at my best and at my worst – even when I didn’t show my love for her. She was more important to me than anyone. I miss her so much. I’d give anything to have her back.
But to just call her my mother would only capture a shadow of her impact on this world. My mom bridged gaps, mended wounds, and rekindled old bonds. She made it her mission to unify everyone she could reach – and she was good at it. She helped turn our family into a tight-knit unit despite the thousands of miles separating all of us. She was the glue that turned strangers into good friends. The bonds she created are strong; just because she’s gone doesn’t mean the relationships she formed will go too. They’ll be stronger than ever because those she touched won’t let her work be in vain.
