I met Cindy when our daughters, Sarah and Amy, were on the cheerleading squad together at El Modena High.  I loved her sense of humor and enjoyed sitting with her at cheerleading dinner events.  I didn't get to know Cindy well but know she was a good mom because Sarah is a true joy and one of the few high school friends that Amy has stayed in contact with.  We both love her so much.  Cindy my heart goes out to your girls and your family.  I know you will be missed.

A life loved is a life well lived.  Cindy is loved by so many and will live forever in our hearts.  I will love her for eternity and miss her all my days on earth.

Dear Cindy,
I've loved you since the moment we met - you immediately welcomed me into the family and I've always felt like I could tell you anything and you'd always give me sound advice and a listening ear.

On one of your visits to Houston when Lauren was a toddler, I'll never forget how you got down on all fours to play with her - on her level - and man, she absolutely LOVED it! You let her crawl all over your back... and then you turned over onto your back and hoisted her up into the air to play 'airplane' with her, and next, you stood up and swung her all around for a while... you were SO MUCH FUN!!

All of a sudden I felt like I was such a boring mom! From that day forward, I vowed to be more fun like you and play much more on her level - because you said "toddlers love physical activity play"... and boy,  you were right. She loved the 'new me' that didn't treat her like she was gonna break at any second...  my days of being a stuffy, boring mom who would only rock or cradle her were gone.

I also loved coming and staying at your house when Chuck and I were newlyweds. Your place was so nice and inviting - and our visit so fun, that I had to force myself to leave to carry on with the rest of our trip!

While it saddens us all tremendously to have to say goodbye for now, I know that you are now 100% free of pain, walking on streets of gold, are one of heaven's beautiful angels, smiling down on your children and family, and we'll one day be reunited with you.
