

6, 1935 left this life to be with her Heavenly Father on June 10, 2020. She passed
peacefully at home, surrounded by her devoted children.
Colleen, born in Thistle, Utah graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1953. She
relocated to Southern California in 1957 after graduating from Dixie College in St.
George, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert George Pace, Sr and Mildred Shirley Jones Pace and her 3 brothers: Samuel Harvey Pace, Robert George Pace,
Jr., and David Joseph Pace.
She is survived by her loving sister and best friend, Shirley Roberta Pace Gourley of
West Valley City, Utah; Her 3 adored children:
Tami Anne Keller Joy of Hollywood, MD; Gene Gosnell Keller, Jr. (Susan) of Lake
Forest, CA; and Tina Marie Keller Sepulveda of Anaheim, CA. She is also survived by
her 4 amazing grandchildren whom she also adored:
Deborah Colleen Joy Atkinson (Matthew) of Hollywood, MD; Gary Elwood Joy, II of
California, MD; Susanne Elizabeth Joy of Tappahannock, VA; Lucyanna Esther Herrera
of Wildomar, CA; and her only great-grandchild, Timothy Caleb Joy of Hollywood, MD.
As well as many nieces and nephews.
She was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where
in her young years she did many great works for the church. She graduated from
Seminary and received her Temple Endowment.
Her career spanned 35 years in the Aerospace Industry, working for North American
Rockwell (Autonetics Division), Rockwell International and Boeing.
Her career highlight was woking on the Space Shuttle Program and seeing it come to
fruition.
Colleen lived a long and fulfilling life in which she chose to serve others. She was a
50+ year member of Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority in which she held most local and
International Offices including International President. Her Sorority Sisters, near and
far meant the world to her and shared countless life memories with her. Many of her
Kappa Nu and Nu Omicron Sisters were like a second family to her children, having
grown up around them.
The most important part of Colleen’s life was being a mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother
and mother in love (law), She loved to go on family vacations; celebrate
holidays together in her beautifully decorated homes; cook delicious family meals
(especially her famous deviled eggs); take long drives in the car together; and listen to
music and sing.
When her family remembers her, they will think of her strength, courage, dedication to
her family and others, her love for her cats and her love for life~She could light up a
room. Her legacy will not be forgotten.
