Gavril "Brian" Blaga

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the untimely passing of Brian Blaga, a brilliant human being, who departed from this world far too soon at the age of 33.

Brian’s journey began on November 16th, 1989, and came to an end on July 19th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Brian was an extraordinary soul with an unwavering passion for animals. From an early age, he showed a deep affinity for all creatures great and small. His kind-hearted and nurturing spirit attracted numerous animal companions, each finding a loving and forever home under Brian’s care. His dog, Mocca, will dearly miss him.

As a child, his insatiable curiosity about the world around him became evident. This early fascination with the unknown only grew with time, leading him to embark on a life of wanderlust and discovery. He was a spirited adventurer and globetrotter and was a source of inspiration to all those who crossed paths with him. His passion for exploration eventually manifested into an incredible journey spanning multiple continents. Brian indulged in diverse cultures and embraced the beauty of humanity’s differences. Whether it was teaching English in China, immersing himself in the culture of Vietnam, finding tranquility in the serene landscape of Bali, or backpacking across Europe, he embraced each new experience with open arms and a zest for life.

During his early childhood, Brian traveled to watch the Romanian soccer team and quickly developed an ardent love for soccer. He became a fervent supporter of the Arsenal, wearing their colors and cheering them on with unwavering dedication. Whether it was attending matches at the stadium, watching games with friends and family, or passionately discussing the sport online, Brain lived and breathed soccer. Combining these two passions lead to amazing and memorable experiences.

Brian was a source of inspiration to all who crossed paths with him. His sense of humor and passion for life were infectious, bringing joy to the lives of friends and family. Whether it was sharing travel stories, suggestions for places to eat, discussion of world history, or simply spending quality time with loved ones, he valued every moment and made sure to create lasting memories. With an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a commitment to healing others, he set out on a remarkable academic journey. He pursued a career in medicine with unyielding drive, never allowing setbacks to derail his dream. We are all so proud that he was able to complete his first year of medical school with top grades. Moreover, while in school his passion and zest for life transcended language barriers and cultural divides, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of strangers turned friends. In every corner of the globe, he cultivated meaningful relationships, providing that the true essence of travel lies in human connection.

As we say goodbye to Gavril Brian Blaga, we do so with great sadness but also with gratitude for the privilege of sharing a part of his remarkable journey. May his adventurous spirit live on in all of us as we navigate the uncharted territories of life, always seeking, always exploring, and always embracing the wonders that lie ahead.

A Memorial Service to honor the life of Brian will be held at Westminster Memorial Park. The viewing will take place on August 18th from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, the funeral will take place on August 19th at 9:30 am.

Family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched are invited to join in commemorating the extraordinary life of this remarkable person.
