

Harlan Stanton Lawson, age 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 21, 2024, at his home in Huntington Beach, CA. He was born on June 23, 1939, in Clayton Oklahoma, to Kenneth and Oleta Lawson. He was a graduate of Santa Ana High School and received an advanced degree at San Jose State University, California. He married Terri Ann Smith on August 24, 1963, and celebrated 60 years of marriage last August.
Harlan was a teacher for 43 years at Leroy L Doig Intermediate School where he was the head of the Physical Education Department, Coach for their sports teams and taught Science. He loved to spend time with his family and traveling with his loving wife. He also was an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan, Steelers fan and loved to spend time working on his miniature trains when he had the time.
Harlan was an Amazing Father, Husband, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Man of God, and the kindest, most loving person you would ever meet. He is survived by his Wife, Terri; Sons, Lance and Layne Lawson; Daughters-in-law Karin and Alicia Lawson; Granddaughters, Sara Anderson, Ella and Reese Lawson; and Great Grandson, Calvin Anderson.
A visitation for Harlan will be held Friday, July 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Westminster Memorial Park Mortuary, 14801 Beach Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 12, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 14801 Beach Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683. A graveside service will occur Friday, July 12, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM at External Service Location, 14801 Beach Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683.
