Humberto Ramirez was born on September 17, 1930 to Pablo and Lucia Ramirez in Mexico City, Mexico. In his early 20’s he met Lillian Gonzales at the Pike in Long Beach where they spent the evening dancing. They married in 1954 and together they had four children.
After working as a laborer for 30 years (Union 652), he retired but in his mind, retirement wasn’t meant to be. He then went to work for the Santa Ana Unified School District for 20 years as a plumber. Humberto is predeceased by his wife of 64 years and survived by their children: son Paul Ramirez (Dori Lyn), daughters Rebecca Rodriguez, Doreen Ferrel (Phillip) and Vivian Ramirez. Grandchildren, Yvonne Giron (Carlos), Sarah Ramirez, Jaclyn Hendrickson (D.J.), Christopher Ramirez, Jessica Ferrel, Taylor Ramirez and Emily Ramirez. Great-Grandchildren: Matteo Giron, Audree Atondo, Camila Giron, Brielle Atondo and Isela Giron.
Humberto is also survived by his brother Victor Ramirez and sisters Paz Roldan and Yolanda Ramirez all of whom reside in Mexico City, Mexico. Humberto now joins his wife, siblings Luis and Emma and many friends and relatives in God’s gardens. Mom and Dad are now “Arm and arm, dancing together once again in Heaven” as it should be!
