

John was born on November 15, 1931, in Piraeus, Greece, to the late Garabed and Takouhi Yerganian Boyajian, survivors of the Armenian Genocide. He was raised in Piraeus and immigrated to the United States in 1965, where he eventually made his home.
John was a talented jeweler, known for his artistry and dedication, proudly owning and operating JB Jewelry for 26 years. An avid gardener, he delighted family and friends every year with his fragrant, delicious bright red tomatoes. A proud American, John displayed his flag with honor and pride during holidays.
He found great joy traveling the world with his beloved wife, Mary Karampetian Boyajian, to whom he was devoted for 57 years. John deeply treasured the time spent with his eight cherished grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and love.
John is survived by his loving wife Mary; daughters Anna Ayvazian and Christine Sarkisian; son George Boyajian; grandchildren Krikor, Garabed, and Silva Ayvazian; Alyssa and John Boyajian; Andrew, Alexa, and Sean Sarkisian; as well as sons-in-law Hovig Ayvazian and John Sarkisian, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who valued family above all and took great pride in his Armenian heritage, remaining an active and proud member of the Armenian community.
A funeral service to honor John’s life will be held at Westminster Memorial Park, Main Chapel, 14801 Beach Boulevard, Westminster, CA 92683, on Wednesday, July 30th at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John’s memory to Forty Martyrs Armenian Church, 5315 W McFadden Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92704.
