Larry Lee Meyer

Larry was born in Beatrice, NE. He attended country school at Diller, NE. and moved with his parents to Sterling, NE. in 1950. Larry was heavily involved in sports including track, football and basketball. He graduated High School in 1958

Larry was preceded in death by his wife Katherin (Katie), parents Frank and Agnes Meyer, Brother Dennis Meyer, Sister Linda Meyer and Grandparents. He is survived by his two Sons, Christopher and Micheal Meyer, his Granddaughter Sammantha Meyer, Sister Carol Krueger of Beatrice, NE and Brother Daryl Meyer of Adams, NE.

Larry was a proud and dedicated Union Ironworker. He began his career with Omaha Ironworker’s local 21 in the late 50’s before moving to California in 1963 where he joined the Los Angeles Ironworker’s Local 433.

While Larry was working and raising his family with Katie he enjoyed spending time on weekends with his family in the yard or on vacations. Some of his most memorable vacations were at Bass and Trinity Lakes, CA. He enjoyed, water skiing, boating, jet skiing and fishing. He also enjoyed weekend getaways to the Colorado River.

Larry also had residence in Beaver, Utah for the past 20 years where he spent his time with more friends there. When he wasn’t enjoying the mountains, golfing, fishing, four wheeling, or boating, he enjoyed working on his property with his tractor. While in Utah he took several road trips through Colorado back to his home state of Nebraska where he would spend time with family and more friends.

Larry was known as a hard working, but fun loving man who everyone could depend on. Larry moved back to Westminster in 2019 where he could be close to his two Son’s in his final years.

Larry will always be loved and missed by those who had the pleasure to know him.

A Chapel Memorial Service will be on Monday, August 2nd, 2021 at 1:00 pm in Lakeside Chapel, at Westminster Memorial Park 14801 Beach Blvd. , Westminster, CA 92683 with an Interment Service to follow.
