Our hearts are heavy as we remember and honor our beloved Ate Lita.  She was a warm, sweet and loving lady who always had a smile on her face that would light up every room. My fondest memories are the many cousin trips we spent together talking, exploring and laughing so much.  I am grateful for the love Ate Lita brought to all of us. 

Ate Lita was a beautiful soul and always a fashionista as you can see in this picture. She stands out in her stylish leather jacket and the charming smile we will remember forever. 

Rest in eternal peace, dear Ate Lita.

Hi mommy!

We were so blessed to have you as our lola. You were kind and generous. I remember, when I was still little, every year when you and daddy come home here in the Philippines, you always have presents for all us. Shoes, bags, clothes, you name it! You were so generous to all of us.

One thing I won't forget about you is, you loveeeeee to dance with all these nice dresses and high heels.. I remember, we used to go to this fancy restaurant and you will just enjoy and dance through the night. 

Last time we spoke, you were so pretty and all glammed up and laughing to Jieliann & Jackson goofing around.. 

Mommy, hindi man tayo nagkaroon ng chance na magkita bago ka nawala, gusto ko malaman mo na maraming maraming salamat dahil hanggang huli hindi ka nag sawa na tumayo sa tabi namin. Hanggang huli hindi mo kami pinabayaan.

My beautiful Ti Lita.  My Ninang.  The ever fashionably dressed lady of our clan. She easily cracks up even with the simplest jokes and her laughter is infectious that can brighten the mood at any given occasion.

We all know for a fact that she is a good, generous mother and grandma to her family,  and  to us, her nephews and nieces as well.  We lunch/dine out, we travelled and spent weeks-long up north and down south.  The memories of her are very enjoyable and special.

I am thankful to our Lord for the chance given me to take care of her for some time in her latter days.  Though it was some kind of tough job that demands a lot of patience, I had fun playing along with her  'kakulitan' na dinadaan ko lang lahat sa biro. And it made our days together easy for both of us.

True to what her granddaughter Heidi Mackay said, she is really a kikay. Not a day will pass without her applying lipstick and puffing powder all over her face. 

Now that you left us, I'll make sure that you are all dolled up when you finally find eternal rest on the other side. 

"We will hold you in our hearts until we can hold you in heaven."
