Louis Anton Becker

Louis Anton Becker (known to his family and friends as “Ton”), was born in 1936 in Surabaya, Indonesia. In 1947 he and his family moved to Den Haag, Holland. While in Holland, he studied engineering. In 1962, he decided to pursue the American Dream by moving to the United States. Within 5 years of immigrating, Ton became a US citizen and graduated from CalState Los Angeles with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

He met met Silvia in April of 1962 through mutual friends. They fell in love and were engaged in October of 1962 and were married on February 23, 1963. They had their first child, Angela, in 1966; their son, Roger, was born in 1970.

During this time, Ton got a job with the State of California working for CalTrans. After 35 years, he retired and spent quite a few years enjoying playing tennis.

In the mid 90s Ton and Silvia became foster parents. They cared for quite a few children, but Jeremy held a special place in their hearts and they officially adopted him in 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Silvia, 3 kids, 6 grandkids (Cassandra Hoer, 33; Taylor Becker, 20; Viviana McBroom, 20; Max McBroom, 18; Haley Becker, 18; and Violet McBroom, 16) 4 great-grandkids (Rogan Suarez, 11; Odette Hoer, 3; and Jozabel and Judah Hoer, due September 2021).

Viewing will be on June 30, 2021 from 5PM - 8PM in the Westminster Memorial Park Main Chapel.

Funeral service will be held on July 1, 2021 at 12PM in the Westminster Memorial Park Main Chapel with an interment service to follow. Arrangements under the direction of Westminster Memorial Park, 14801 Beach Blvd. Westminster, CA 92683. (714) 893-2421
