Beloved mother, daughter, sister, and wife

Lourdes Valdez Torres, 57, died on Monday, Jan. 20, at UCI Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

Lourdes was born August 6, 1957, in Tijuana B.C. Mexico to Cirilo Valdez and Ofelia Berumen de Valdez. She resided in Tijuana until age 22, then in 1979 she moved to Orange County. In 1988, she married and had two children, Lourdes Jeanette and Gonzalo Jr.

Lourdes is remembered by family and friends for her kindness, good nature, perseverance and always putting the needs of others before hers. She loved cooking, shopping, dancing, watching scary movies and most of all, spending time with family. She touched the lives of many and although she will be sorely missed, Lourdes will always be remembered in our hearts and minds.

Lourdes is survived by her children, Lourdes Jeanette and Gonzalo Jr.; parents, Cirilo and Ofelia; siblings, Maria C., Arnulfo, Rafael, Soledad, Isabel, and Lia; her husband Gonzalo; mother-in-law, Guadalupe; son-in-law, Kazzim; brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; cousins; and vast extended family.

Visitation and Rosary will be Thursday, Jan. 30, at 6pm at Westminster Memorial Park. Mass will be Friday, Jan. 31 at 9:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church in Westminster. Interment to follow immediately after Mass.
