

She was the widow of Seymor Hall to whom she was married for 55 years.
Norma was the third and only surviving child of Charles Lavern Wood and Nellie Beatrice Laird Wood. Norma was born on July 28, 1930 at the South Sioux City, Nebraska home of her Grandmother Mary Laird. The family moved to Southern California in the early 1940’s and settled in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles County. Norma graduated from Venice High School in 1948 and married Seymor Hall in 1950. They lived in Mar Vista, California across the street from her parents, where they started their family, moving to Huntington Beach, California in 1964. They were active travelers and traveled all over the world. Anyone who knew Norma, knew she had a very busy and active social life. She loved bowling, played Bridge, Poker, Mexican Train, Bingo and just about any card game she could think of, attended plays and concerts, and generally enjoyed life. She was actively involved in several Red Hat Society groups and was devoted to her many, many friends. Most of all she loved her family and the best hours of her day were spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Norma is survived by her two daughters Sheila Hansen (Harry) of Laguna Niguel, CA and Linda Mapes of Huntington Beach, CA; her three grandchildren Michael Mapes (Kim) of San Dimas, CA, Amy Mapes of Huntington Beach, CA, and Brenna Hansen of Long Beach, CA and her four great-grandchildren Logan Alcoset, Brandon Strohecker, Angela Mapes and Matthew Mapes.
She is preceeded in death by her husband Seymor Hall, her parents Charles Lavern Wood and Nellie Beatrice Laird Wood, and her siblings Marion, Derald and Charlotte Wood.

SERVICES:
A visitation will take place on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Westminster Memorial Park Chapel
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2 at 9:30 AM at Westminster Memorial Park Chapel, Westminster, CA.
Burial will take place at Pacific View Cemetery and Mortuary in Newport Beach, CA.
