A beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, Rianna Hailie Burrell, age 18, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Rianna was born on August 11, 2001, in Anaheim, California, the daughter of Anthony Ross Burrell and Carla Helen (Navarro) O'Boyle.
Although only 18 at the time of her death, Rianna touched many people. She had an energy about her that was unforgettable. If you knew her well or barely knew her at all, she always left an impression. Whether it was about how beautiful, talented, funny, smart, feisty, or just downright inappropriate she was, she always left her mark.
Rianna was a loving and compassionate person who always helped those in need and would often put others before herself. She saw the good in everyone and unfortunately, some people took advantage of that. However, this did not stop Rianna from loving wholeheartedly. She had the most beautiful smile and memorable laugh that could make you forget all your troubles.
Rianna loved life. She was extremely strong-willed, tenacious, and determined to show everyone that she could make it on her own. She wanted to live life on her terms and learn from her own mistakes. Once she had her mind made up, there was no talking her out of anything. Consequently, this caused Rianna a lot of heartache and harsh life lessons. She lived through experiences that many of us could not begin to imagine. Her resilience, strength, and bravery were overwhelming but, on the inside, she secretly was suffering, privately battling her own terrors and inexplicable pain that many of us knew nothing about. We know now she is at peace and has left the pain behind, but she has also left us all behind and life will never be the same.
When you think of Rianna, rejoice in the good memories you have of her. She will continue to stay with us all through memories. We will see her everywhere. In crop tops, jogger pants, pepperoni and mushroom pizza, Knott’s funnel cake, messy hair, Nike Air Force One's, and anytime you hear anything related to cheer or one of her many hobbies and obsessions. Remember that life is short and fragile and it should be lived to the fullest. Rianna's stubborn, yet loving and caring personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Rianna is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Maria Salome Oseguera. She is survived by her parents, her step-father, Brian O'Boyle; her siblings Melanie Burrell, Makayla Burrell, Amory O'Boyle, Ryan Burrell, and Eric Burrell; her step-siblings, Adrian O'Boyle, Areyana O'Boyle, and Kassandra O'Boyle; and her paternal grandmother Susan Triplett. As well as numerous other family members and friends.
