We celebrate the life and memory of Rosemary McHenry, who passed away peacefully at her home in San Clemente surrounded by family and friends on May 3, 2025, at the age of 96. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on January 2, 1929, to Frank and Irene Eden. Rosemary was one of four children (Jeri Edoff, Bud Eden, Larry Eden) and carried with her a deep love of family, faith and community throughout her life.
On July 10, 1948, she married the love of her life, Richard McHenry, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in devotion, kindness, and family. In the summer of 1952 Rose and Rich moved to California. Rosemary was the proud mother of two daughters: Michelle (Mike Barth) and Kate (Paul Heuvel).
She was also a beloved grandmother to eight grandchildren: Julia (Cameron Kish), Lydia, Mason and Amelia (Gallagher); Elijah, Nathan and Jackson (Collins); Parker and Grady (Gunther); Anna, Rose, Mary, Sara (George); Grace, Dustin, Ryan (White); Ryan, Reed, and Charlotte (Forrester) - each of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
Rosemary's warmth, grace and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through her family, her stories, and the values she instilled in those fortunate enough to be close to her.
