I miss you so much my sweet mommieD 🙏🏻

I'm so honored to have been a part of my beautiful Grandma Kirkwood's life.  She was a combination of beauty, class, California cool, and the perfect amount of quirkiness that only accentuated her adorable character. I always looked forward to visiting "Grandma's House" and was especially eager to see what new home decor remodeling project she had been up to.  I loved how welcoming she made us feel, as if there was no one or nothing more important in that moment than to be with her grandchildren.  Her love was definitely felt and for that I admired and loved her greatly! 

I was always so proud to say that I had a Great Grandmother.  
Grandma Shirley was always cooler than anyone. My favorite memory is when she beat me to having an iPhone! She showed me her Facebook account and her very active interactions with her family and friends. That’s when I realized I needed to get me an iPhone stat! 
She loved her family so much and was always so incredibly generous when we came and visited her. 
She was a beauty, inside and out. One of a kind. ♥️✨

Oh boy where so I start? The cul-de-sac and riding bikes, the local pool. The tire-swing park, rolling down the grass hill, grandmas beans, Winston licking our hands, acting like we were going on a 3 day journey to drive the 35 min to Fountain Valley! So many wonderful memories! I always loved how everyone would come outside and wave us goodbye when we left!  

I remember Shirley as a devoted mother and grandma! Full of love for her family.. a blessing to her family. She will will be missed.. so many memories and a privilege to have known such an amazing woman. I wish I could go back in time and remember all the amazing times spent with her.. She was my happy place!! Love forever!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ With sorrow and prayers always and forever our Shirley!!! 🙏💕🙏

I was blessed to call this beautiful lady mother-in-law for nearly 50 years. She taught me so much just by observing her, she was the definition of grace and class. There is a hole in our family and although she will be missed every day, this is when we realize how priceless our memories are. 
Give Tim and Kyle a hug for me, rest peacefully.

Soooo many memories but the one that keeps coming is that Mom loved to dance ! When I was a teenager she asked me to show her how to do the “Twist “, so I showed her and she copied with her arms flaying like a chicken! We laughed so hard and she finally got it, Love and miss you Mommie, dance with Jesus!
