Terri Lyn Blomquist, age 61, passed peacefully in her sleep July 30, 2019 at her home in Orange, CA. Terri was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and her nephew. She is survived by her sister and husband, Gail and Randy Tentschert, her “adopted sisters” Jennifer Jansen, Deni McDonald and Renee Mascolo, and nieces Brandi and Kristi Blomquist.
Terri, a proud native Californian, lived her entire life in her childhood home. Family meant everything to Terri, and she found friendship with friends who became family over the years. Terri had the most innocent sweetest heart. She was fiercely loyal to her friends and family. In 2014, Terri suffered a diabetic coma and struggled with medical complications. In the last years of her life, she was surrounded by a wonderful support system of friends and family that came to help her in her time of need. The family thanks The Saenz Family, Carol, Jennifer, and Kay and many many others for always answering when Terri or the family called. There were so many people that helped – it brings tears to our eyes, because it spoke to the kind of person Terri was in life.
Terri served as Unit Secretary for St. Joseph’s hospital for over 20 years. She loved her job, the staff and the patients. Let’s agree- she loved to socialize. Her life revolved around her passions: bowling, traveling, family and friends. She found a way to combine her greatest passions of bowling and traveling by participating in competitions around the country. She loved to cruise! Terri became ill, her physical status declined. Through everything she endured, she never ever gave up the idea of being able to bowl again. She always strived for that elusive 300 game and in the end, her deepest sadness was not being able to do what she loved the most, bowling. She dedicated her life to the leagues she served, and would do whatever she could to help so she could still participate.
A graveside service for Terri will be held Friday August 9th, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Westminster Memorial Park Westminster, CA. A Celebration of Life reception will follow at 1459 N. Blake Street, Orange, CA 92867.
