Vince, thank you for all the kind words, amazing memories, and love you blessed me with. Although I only had the opportunity to know you for four years, you changed my life forever. I never met someone who was so open and loving as you were. From day one you welcomed me into your home and treated me with such genuiness. You made me feel like part of the family, and it was not long before you just said I was family. You treated me as one of your own kids, and what an incredible love that was. I always said that you were the first one out of everyone that I felt most comfortable with. I think you had that effect on people. I still remember the first time you said I love you, and I also remember the last... Both were just as significant as the other. 

Since your passing, I have learned a lot about you. Some things I knew, and others I didn't. But, I came to realize you gave Brad so many of his qualities, that there is still a big part of you that is with me everyday. I can still hear parts of Sheri's speech, and I can't help but think that you made him into the person that I love so much. Everyone knows and laughs about your OCD cleaning, and the way you had everything perfectly organized when it comes to river stuff, as does Brad. You both have tempers, but it is complemented by your huge hearts. You both love with your whole hearts, in this extraordinary way that even I can't comprehend sometimes. 

You have touched my life in so many ways that I can't even begin to explain. You have left your imprint on my life and my heart that will never go away. Thank you for teaching me so much in such a short amount of time. And thank you for allowing me to part of your beautiful family, I will cherish every moment with them just as you did.

                 You were all of those things to me. You were a great person to everyone around you, and I saw that with my own eye's. You were a great husband to my mother, and helped raise sharlene and I. You were a great father to sydnie, richard, sharlene, me and more. I would not be the person I am today with out your influence on my life. There are many lesson's that you taught me over the years, and theres plenty that I did not listen to. And as I grow older I understand more and more about what you were trying to tell me. I know I wont see you for a very long time, It makes me very sad because I love you. I'm gunna miss our talks about the river and the boats, each one of us trying to make our personal best times back and forth to the river. I'm going to miss cleaning the work truck (well maybe not miss it that much) but spending time out there cleaning it with you, id do it anyday of the week to see you again. I could go on and on with memories of my whole life that are filled with you.

I know your looking down on everyone friends and family both. I know your there somewhere still wanting the best for all of us, and I promise I wont let you down. The family will stick together by eachother's side until the end. I will give it my all to be the man you wanted me to be. I want to say thank you for everything you have ever done for me and OUR family. Im going to miss you so much and I know there's nothing that can bring you back. But ill just asume your on a very long vacation ether in sandals, the river, a cruise or a charger game, and I just missed you every time by a few minutes. Because one day I will see you again. Until that day I love you, I miss you, and thank you .

I remember first seeing you at Hopkinson Elem. Schl where our kids Sydnie and Caid shared many classes together, and thinking that guy looks just like Sam Elliot!  Through our kids friendship we were blessed to get to know you and Sheri.  When I think of you I think a great father, husband and friend.  You were always present in the kids lives and activities.  Caid will forever remember all the times hanging out with you at Sydnies bday parties and I'm sure his top memory would be the river trip!  Thank you for impacting all of our lives in such a special way.  We know your fight for life was a heroic and inspirational one.  You will be truly missed and will be forever in our memories. I know that the loss of Vince will leave a hole in your hearts for a long time.  But remember this: He was always there for you all and he will continue to be there for you in your hearts, minds and souls.

Vince was a very good man.  It was so obvious that his family meant everything in the world to him.  I know how his enjoyment of life and how he loved you made such a great impression on our daughter Gina and all those that he came to know.

Vince and his bandana was a regular guy with a huge heart.  I sure appreciated how he treated our daughter and our family with such respect and love.  He certainly was a bigger man than most.

Vince, may the sweet strains of Samba Pa Ti carry you on through your new life.  We all will meet again.  Just remember to save us all a spot!

 I am very grateful that Sydnie and Gina became good friends at such a young age because Tom and I were able to get to know you and Vince that much sooner.  
Vince, I so admired your confidence, straightforwardness, love of life and family.  It is very clear how much you loved and cherished those close to you.     
 Sheri, you and Vince have always been very special to Gina.  I know she has a special place in her heart for  you both and will forever cherish the many fond memories of Vince from  Sydnie's New Year's Birthday parties to the dinners he would cook for her and Sydnie.  She really loved his brussel sprouts!
Sheri, you, Vince, Sydnie, Richard and Sharlene have always been a terrific second family to Gina.   Please know that we are here for you at anytime for anything.

The best of times for me, were during the worst days of our lives.....  

Forever in my heart and mind will be watching Moonstruck that day with you, listening to it in your head phones and you telling me "this is the best part Lori, the best part...Cher is kicking the can down the street with the red shoes.... look look......" while you got to snack on some See's Candies Dark Patty's...... :)  it was really nice that I got to have that memory with you.  Unexpected and amazing.

Can't believe a week later to the day, you were gone........ Heartbreaking to know you were leaving us but grateful I was there with you as you left in peace with grace and mercy.  Matt and I held hands and wept as you left us...but it was a blessing and honor to have been with you throughout your life the last 20+ years.  

Now you are up in Heaven, and I am glad you will be there to look out for all of us as we make our way through life without you.  

Vince, you might be gone but you will never, ever, be forgotten.  Our hearts break just thinking of your smile......your voice...hearing your stories and tales of adventure....and your kindness ~ so kind and honorable... ~A Mans Man ~  Thank you for all the memories (our very own Sam Elliot).

Oh and we have your spot saved for Vegas in 2 weeks.  I was so happy you wanted to go.....Tim bought them that nite.  Yup, gotta admit, like we talked about, one last trip to Vegas woulda been nice, and I promise to play a hand for you at the 21 table, so make sure you peek over my shoulder please and help me out when the bet is big and I have a blackjack :)   

And, I know you will be (as you told me when you got out all your Charger gear that day) at ALL the Chargers games with the BEST SEAT in the house!!!!!  Your gonna be on bench with the team! lol - your exact words...I will look for you there.  Maybe with you up there, they might even win the SUPERBOWL!!!

I still can't believe you're gone. I wake each day thinking that I'm going to see your smiling face and/or hear your voice, but everyday it becomes clearer that you're no longer with us physically. You were always a great father through the good and bad times. Whether we saw eye to eye or not our love for one another always prevailed. I think you'd be proud at the amount of strength I've had through all of this and I know you understand my moments of weakness. I just want you to know that you will forever be missed and loved by all of those whose lives you touched down here. I know this is not good bye but rather see you later and to be honest later seems too far away. I don't know what else to say but I love you and I miss you more and more each day. Put in a good word for me with the big G man and pop in every once in a while and say hi (a dream always works). I love you dad.

Dear Family,

I am truly sorry for your loss!  It always amazes me when we loose someone so young at how deeply it effects everyone around them.  I only knew Vince for a couple of years but one of the things I knew for sure is that he loved his family desperately and fought a fight most could not have. I'm grateful that our girls were on the same soccer team that year and that it gave us all an opportunity to get to know him and meet some of the people he loved so much .  Sydnie, the way he looked at you the way he talked about you is the way every little girl should feel loved, don't forget that feeling... He is always going to be with you.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time!!!

As I've been growing up over the years, i couldn't have asked for a better dad,
You have always been there for me, through all good days and bad.
You have taught me right from wrong, and the important things to learn,
I have seen what hard work looks like, and what you get in return.

On the sidelines of all my soccer games, there you always are,
And in a chair at my choir shows i can see you from afar.

Uncle Vince, there aren't any words that can describe how much I miss you and how much I will always miss you.  As far back as I can remember you have always been an amazing husband, uncle, dad, grandpa, brother, and son to everyone in our family.  You helped me become the man that I am today, you taught me many lessons whether or not you knew it.  Whether it was when we would hang out and talk about my future, my career, or my every day hurdles or whether it was me getting to listen to you talk about things you wanted to do, things that were on your mind, or life stories you chose to share with me.  No matter what it was, it positively affected me somehow, or some way.  Although I won't get to have those talks with you in person anymore or have you physically be here with me, you will always be in my life, in my heart, and in my mind.  I just want to say thank you Uncle Vince; thank you for being the best uncle that any kid could ever ask for.  You truly were an amazing and strong man. Vince, I regret not being able to say this to you before, but some of the best moments I've had in life were with you and your family. "Vincent Raymond Esperti, a devoted husand & loving father too all his children. You will be missed by many." Toy & I met the Esperti family in 2003 when we moved into their neighborhood. A friendship developed as our love for Harley's, and numerous long rides together. Both families being involved with SAG and acting, I was fortunate to actually work with Vince on two separate projects. We performed in a live interactive "Halloween Haunted Hayride" every October. Our favorite project was the "VYRUS" video shoot we shot in Compton a couple of years ago. We played "Biker Gang Members". Our leader was "Sniski" (WWE), and the other gangs leader was Tiny Lister, (Debo, Zuess, WWE also). Both these guys are 6'9" & 300lbs. so Vince & I felt like midgets all day...I'll have some great pic's @ the funeral from that day...We really enjoyed having them over for BBQ pool party's & birthdays..."Vince your demeanor, laugh and integrity will all be missed"...God Bless...Steve & Toy.....

First time we met Vince and Sheri was on the soccer field cheering on Sydnie and surrounded by family. I thought to myself what a great family and could feel the love and pride that Vince had for all of them. He was so excited to see Sydnie's antics on the field and we always enjoyed hearing his comments or rolling his eyes. I remember one night we went to Soup Plantation after soccer and Vince was telling us about the history of all the schools in the area.What a great man ! You will be missed and we will always remember your strength and perseverence.God bless you and your family.

I'm so grateful for the time (however brief) I knew Vince.  I will never forget how welcome he always made me feel in his home, and his fondness for teasing me.  I always felt like part of the family when I visited.  My favorite memory has to be the time Richard parked his car on our street while we left for the day.  While we were gone, someone came flying down our street, hit Richard's car, and took off.  Richard and I were feeling pretty hopeless that we'd ever track down who did it, but not Vince.  He came over and assessed the damage and debris, and was able to deduce the general type/color of the car that was responsible, and was fairly certain that the person lived in our neighborhood.  I remember him driving around our area for a short time before finding the damaged car just a few blocks away.  I was so amazed that he was able to gather all this information from just a few scraps on the street.  Vince was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor, and no matter how rough his appearance, always had a warm and genuine heart.  Thank you for the memories, Vince.  You will be missed.

It was such a pleasure sitting next to you in soccer, watching our daughters play. You were such a wonderful man who cherished his daughter and wife. i have so many memories from the time i was 10 or so vince was like an uncle to me i used to spend my summers and weekends around vince  and richard deb andrews peach was my adopted sister and her sister was married to vince ....i always remeber his laugh always joking around and i remeber helping take care of richard .....my thoughts are with all of you and uncle vince you are missed but in a better place now and pain free â™¥ to all jody velasquez miller

Vince was a great guy! I knew him since high school, he was in the class of 1980 and I was in the class of 1981. We hooked up later and started a business relationship. Vince took care of all the concrete cutting and coring for TKR construction for many years. He was always there for us when we needed him, his talents and professionalism will surely be missed as well as him being such a great friend to the company and a personal friend of mine. I'm sure we'll hook up again in the future Vince and thanks again.

I knew Vince through Sydnie and my dad, Sydnie and I became friends around the time we found out are dads were friends and worked together. I only saw or talked to Vince about five times till he was diagnosed with cancer, but those short times he was pretty funny and liked to be included in me and Sydnie conversations about anything really, especially guys. When I really got to know Vince he was diagnosed with cancer but when I saw him up he always managed a smile on his face and talking about both of our favorite movies, Burlesque. I found it hysterical when a big and tough guy like Vince asked me about a week and a half before he passed away if I could teach him how to knit but I never got the chance to. Vince was such a great man who always had a big heart and loved his family, he was a fighter and I am glad that that is what I will remember when I ever think of him. I love you Sydnie sooooo much you are so strong and I am so glad we are such close friends, Sheri you are so nice and so sweet thank you for talking to me when I needed someone to talk to about everything. You guys have a big place in my heart, also some of the strongest people I know and I love you both

Vince I will miss you very much as you were always there for me when i needed you the most. And when i needed help with my Daughters Vince you helped me so much, And when i needed you to come to Florida and help me move Back once again you came out and drove the rent a truck back for me. And we made it back 2700 miles in 52 hours. Vince you are the greatest Friend that anyone could ask for Thank You Vince for being there time and time again I love you very much. Thanks Dave Wheeler
