It is with heavy hearts that the family of Anita Agnus Norman announce the sudden passing of Anita on March 30, 2011 at the young age of 56.
Anita was born in Esterhazy, SK to Fred and Mary Henry on Jan 9, 1955. As a child she was very outgoing, spontaneous and loved being carefree. She attended school in Melville, SK. Then continued her highschool education in Weyburn, SK. She then met and married Laurie Norman and was married March 1st, 1975. They settled into their lives in Weyburn and had their only child, Curtis. She knew she had the most valuable treasure that she could ever make. She would state “why would we want another child when we got it right the first time.” Curtis could touch or give her anything and to her it would turn to gold. She was so proud of him when he became a teacher. For anyone that is fortunate enough to know Curtis you understand what Anita felt when you are around him.
Anita would often talk about her godchildren, her love was evident and shown through pictures on her walls of all family and friends. She didn’t need paint or wallpaper because she had the pictures from top to bottom through the front door, the bathroom and right through the bedroom. There was no wall’s to be seen, it was just pictures, pictures and more pictures. You would never get bored being there for the pictures were always a conversational piece.
She was also so very happy when she met her brother Steve and sister-in-law, Sharon. We all met for the first time in 2005. Anita could not believe it and she stuck to Steve like glue. She smiled from ear to ear and when they left her tears were like falling rain.
She became ill in her early 30’s with C.O.P.D. and other illnesses soon became prominent in her life. Even though she was sick she would love the company. At the end of her short life we never thought she would leave us so soon. She will be missed by all her friends and family.
