Beverly Joan Winter

On Saturday, July 17th, 2010, Beverly Joan Winter of Midale, Sask. passed away at the Regina Pasqua Hospital at the age of 65 years. Beverly was predeceased by her father, Edgar Osborne. She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Laura Osborne of Midale, SK; her spouse, Ken Hein of Midale, SK; her five children: Scott Chicoine (Molra Liska) of Estevan, SK; Carla (Ray) Chicoine-Larson of Dysart, SK; Darren (Lacey) Chicoine of Lac La Biche, AB; Jeff (Mary) Chicoine of Weyburn, SK and Jackie Chicoine (Joe Tomkins) of Saskatoon, SK; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; her brother, Bill Osborne of Stoughton, SK; three sisters: Kathy (Brian) Grams of Calgary, AB; Sandra (Kelly) Connelly of Midale, SK and Linda (Gerald) Pander of Griffin, SK; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Beverly Joan Winter was born April 22nd, 1945 at Kelvington, Sask. to Edger and Laura Osborne. She was raised at Kelvington then the family moved to a farm on the Viewfield Road outside of Benson, SK where she took her schooling. Bev lived for a short while in Medicine Hat, AB, but spent most of her adult life in southern Saskatchewan , specifically the Estevan – Weyburn area. Sixteen years ago she met her best friend and confidant, Ken Hein. Bev enjoyed her work with the ill and aged at Souris Valley Extended Care Centre in Weyburn, Estevan Regional Nursing Home, and the Mainprize Manor Nursing Home in Midale. She was involved with many people and anyone that called or said they needed help, Bev was first in line to pitch in. In her spare time, Bev loved to fish, do woodwork, garden, crafts, knit and cook for family and friends. Her love of dogs was very apparent with every animal that she came in contact with. She will be loved and missed by all.

A Graveside Service was held Friday, July 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn, Sask. with Rev. John Ferrier officiating. Interment followed. The Urn Bearers were: Ken Hein, Scott Chicoine, Carla Chicoine-Larson, Darren Chicoine, Jeff Chicoine and Jacquelene Chicoine.
