

Don was born to Wilber & Emma Moats of Riceton, SK with his 5 other siblings, Don grew up on the farm. Farming was in his bones and he farmed for many years, never missing a harvest for 66 years.
Don worked most winters in seismic for 30 plus years. He was able to tell stories from as far as north of the Magnetic Pole to the southern tip of New Zealand.
Don lived a full life with many friends, whom he loved fiercely till the end. After he retired he moved to Trossachs to support his wife’s and daughter’s horse riding dreams. Don was a proud husband, father and grandfather.
Don was predeceased by his parents, Wilber and Emma Moats; brothers, Bob and David Moats; father & mother in law, Rueben and Jo Repp and brother in law, Don Repp.
Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Kim Moats of Trossachs, SK; daughter, Hayley (Dallas) of Trossachs, SK; grandchildren, Thomas and Zoey; sisters, Judy (James) and Ali (Tressa); brother, Lee (Laurie); sister in law, Marian; brother in law, Ron as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relative & many friends.
A Private Family Graveside Service will take place at Riceton Cemetery, Riceton, Saskatchewan.
A Celebration of Don’s Life will take place on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Rough Bark Arena, Trossachs, Saskatchewan. The family of Don is inviting all who attend to dress casual ~ “not fancy, just fun."
