I just found out Miss Dee passed away. I am so sad to hear this she was like a sister I never had. My sympathy goes out to her family.

I was saddened to hear of Donelda's passing this week.   She and I worked together for several years at Sobey's Calgary back in the early 2000's.  For most of that time she was my boss, and although she was more than capable at her job,, and took it seriously, there was never a shortage of laughs and enjoyment most days.  She could outwork anybody and perform any task in the bakery,  but balanced that with a great humorous attitude .  It was a pleasure and honor to work with her for many years, and it was a sad day when she left;  the end of an era for me.   My condolences to all her family and friends,

My mind is flooded with childhood memories of this special forever friend! She was one of those friends that you unfortunately loose touch with because of life’s busy schedule, and yet, out of no where, they are on your doorstep, smiling from ear to ear, and your conversations simply pick up where they left off, and the hours pass in what seems like seconds. The laughter was endless!! 
She had a hug heart and shared it with everyone she was close to!! 
I’m so grateful she had so many wonderful people that took such good care of her on her path! She deserved the love and attention 

Rest easy my old friend, one day, we will continue our conversation like we were never apart. 

To Donelda’s children and family,,, she always spoke so lovingly about all of you! I know she will watch over all of you and keep you safe! ❤️

Michael, Malinda and Vanessa, how very sorry I am for your loss.  I remember losing my mom in a similar fashion and the depth of the loss I felt.  Sending you love and sympathy.

I met Donelda at Sobeys she was the most beautiful lady I have ever met. We shared a lot of laughs.The last time I seen her I gave her a big  hug her. Going to miss you Donelda RIP. Heaven gained a beautiful Angel.

I was saddened to read this news.   Condolences to everybody in your families.    Glad you girls all got together recently.

10 years ago I worked with Donelda at Sobeys. She trained me in cake decorating but Donelda was much more then a trainer to me. She was a mentor and friend. She always listened before sharing her opinion which I valued so much. 
When I think back on my years working there she is one of the people who stands out the most. I fondly remember coming to work in the morning and she would already be there getting everything ready for the day with a huge smile on her face. 
When I had troubles I talked to Donelda and being a young adult at the time I had many large life decisions and problems. She had a way with guiding you in the right direction, while making you feel heard and accepted at the same time. 
Donelda definitely had a hand in shaping the person I am today all those years ago. I am very sad for her passing. 
Her family are in my thoughts and prayers. I know you will be extremely missed Donelda. 

R.I.P. Donelda
I first met Donelda at Sobeys as my Manager in the bakery. She was tough but fair and we instantly became good friends. I  remember how she convinced me to take skiing lessons with her, totally out of my comfort zone. Am so grateful she did, we had a lot of fun in the mountains. I will miss her dearly even though we haven’t seen much of each other over the years.

So sorry to hear of the loss of such a beautiful person.  She will be missed by many.  I love that picture of her.  I was sitting with her at the martini bar on our cruise in February 2015.  My condolences to the family.  Here’s another from the same trip

Sorry to hear this news.  I will always remember Donelda’s laugh and smile.  I have lots of memories from my childhood of my parents spending time with her and always having a good laugh.
