Mel was predeceased by her husband, Merv Johnston; father, Melvin Fladager; her mother, Yvonne Reynolds (nee: Fleury); step father, Jim Reynolds; sisters, Dean (Max) Sutcliffe and Dolly (Jack) Jeffery; nephew, Scott Gawley; mother and father in law, Beatrice (nee: Surring) and Elmer Johnston.
Mel is survived by her four children, son, Mark Johnston of Weyburn, SK and his daughter Lamanda Saar and her children, Abby and Rylan; daughter, Marnie (Phil) Lindsay of Roslin, ON; son, Michael (Mariann) Johnston of Regina, SK and their children, Jesse and Ashley; daughter, Margot (Steve) Arnold of Weyburn, SK and their children, Zachary (Becca) Chartrand, Dustin Chartrand, Chris, Kaitlin and Vicky Arnold; sister, Evelyn (Bob) Gawley; nephews, Jim (Brenda) Gawley, Dave (Barb) Gawley, Doug (Dimitra) Jeffery; nieces, Jill Linley (Elliot Patterson) and Melanie Jeffery (Rene Oliver) as well as numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins.
