Predeceased by his father, Robert James Sample and mother, Sarah Frances Sample. He is survived by his brother, Jeff Sample and sister, Elsie Perkins and their families.
Rocky lived all his life in the Black Oak Community where he farmed and did mechanic work and air conditioning. He was a volunteer fireman. He served for over twenty years as a director of Sask. Southeast Connection – Sports, Culture and Recreation (an advisory group to Sask. Parks and Recreation). He was currently President of the Pangman Genealogical Society. He served two terms as President of the Saskatchewan Genealogical Society. Rocky enjoyed feeding and photographing wild partridges and ring-neck pheasants. He loved experimenting with all kinds of mechanical and electrical technology.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Pangman United Church at 2:00 pm with lunch to follow in the Pangman Community Center. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
