

Anna Belle (Latta) Schmidt, Denver, CO., died March 4, 2026. Anna was born August 1, 1937, on the family homestead six miles south of Fort Laramie, WY. to William Alexander and Daisy Mildred Latta. Anna was the sixth of twelve children. She is survived by her daughter Stephanie Marie Pappas of Highlands Ranch CO, who has three grandchildren, Shad Ortiz, Aja Queen, Ashleigh Strovolidis, two great grandchildren Kade Hayes and Taso Strovolidis, and one brother: Alan, two sisters: Alyce and Eva.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl Paul Schmidt, five brothers: William, Harry, Larry, Robert, infant brother and two sisters: Marguerite, Mary.
In high school at Fort Larmie Wyoming, Anna was selected as the Drum Majorette for the high school marching band. She was elected Honor Queen of Job’s Daughters at Bethel 34 in Guernsey, WY.
Anna was employed by United Airlines and TWA Airlines for thirty-eight years and was known to be a highly motivated and creative professional coordinator, flight attendant, administrator, and senior accountant.
Following retirement, Anna became a CNA in Colorado and Arizona so she could provide care to individuals in their homes and assisted care facilities. She was acknowledged as going beyond her job requirements by providing the personal care given to her patients.
Anna was interred at the Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery Mausoleum in the Chapel at 7777 W 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
