

Better known as "The Fach", 89, died on Dec. 8, 2012 at his home in Lakewood, CO. Armand was born March 20, 1923 in Denver, Colorado to Pasquale and Mary Gentile. He graduated from Denver Public Schools, North High School on June 6, 1941. He went to work for Meadow Gold in 1941, served in the United States Navy, as a pharmacist's mate second class during WWll from 1943-1946 and then returned to Meadow Gold where he retired after 43 years. Armand was honored with the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post 6616 Man of the Year award in 1957-1958. Armand was a lifetime resident of Denver and a lifelong Bronco fan, holding season tickets since 1960. He was an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Denver, CO. His greatest accomplishments were his marriage to Emogene (Rutledge) Gentile and raising their son, Richard Lee Gentile. Armand was very proud of and extremely close to his two grandchildren, Armand John Gentile and Richelle Lee Gentile. Armand enjoyed making music with his son, Dick, spending time with his grand and great grandchildren, having early Saturday morning breakfast with his friends and was a frequent visitor to the residents of the Little Sisters of the Poor in Denver, where he often brought them his famous pizzelles. Armand had a positive outlook on life often stating that "if you think positive, things will naturally turn out well". Armand will always be remembered for his positive uplifting quotes "who loves you, Baby" and his louder than life contagious laugh.
He is survived by his daughter in law, Rita Gentile of Davenport, IA; grandchildren, Armand John (Shelley) Gentile II of Wheatland, IA; Richelle Lee Gentile, Milwaukee, WI; great grandchildren, Darick Dunham and Isabella Gentile of Wheatland, IA; his sister, Stella Kelly of San Diego, CA; several nieces and nephews; lifelong friend, Ray Carlyle and close family friend, Shanna Reynolds.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pasquale S. Gentile (dod: 3/28/90) and Mary Gentile (dod: 6/12/1983), his wife, Emogene Gentile (12/10/1999) and his son, Richard Lee Gentile (3/9/08) and sisters, Viola Smith and Susie Falk.
