

2 sisters moved to California where she lived until after high school.
She moved back to Colorado and began working in the office at Rocky Mountain Warehouse,
where she met Thomas Peyton. They were married on June 6, 1957 and were married 48 years
at the time of his passing in 2005 from complications after his stroke in 1999, when she became
his caregiver for 6 years. After Tom’s passing, she remained committed to their union often
reflecting on their lives together.
Tom and Barbara had 6 daughters and were blessed with 17 grandchildren, 23 great
grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild on the way.
Barbara was a homemaker until all the daughters started school at which time she became a
housekeeper and later became the showroom manager at David Juell Enterprises where she
remained until Mr/ Juell retired and closed the business.
Barbara was very committed to her faith and her church even up to her time of death. She is
preceded in death by her husband, Tom, brother, Ray and her grandson, Zachary.
She will be missed but her family finds comfort that after 16 years apart, she is now standing
hand in hand with the man she loved and together, they will continue to watch over, protect and
guide their family.
