Barbara Ann Poindexter

January 7, 1931 – September 12, 2017

Barbara was the second of four children born to Roy and Vylan Miller, in Royal Oak, MI. In 1949, Barbara married Frank (Black) Marsalla, and from their marriage came seven children: Phyllis Ciccio, Salvatore Marsala, Frank Marsalla, Peter Marsalla, Joseph Marsala, Barbara Greene, Michael Marsalla; twelve grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren.

Barbara and Frank remained married until 1983, with Barbara relocating to Denver. In 1984 Barbara married her high school sweetheart Bud Poindexter in Denver and they remained married until his death in 2007.

Barbara was a deep lover of Jazz music and all things Sinatra, which she instilled in all who knew her. She loved nature and animals, especially horses, being an accomplished handler and rider. She was a devout homemaker, loving mother and never grew tired of caring for her growing, energetic family. She was ALWAYS there. She was always BEAUTIFUL.

In addition to her children, Barbara is survived by her siblings Leroy Miller, Edward Miller, and Margaret Denton, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Vylan Miller, son Michael, grandson Frank, and great-granddaughter Fiona.

She will be interred with her husband Bud at 9:00am September 20, 2017 at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, Wheat Ridge, CO. Arrangements under the direction of Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, Cemetery & Arboretum, Wheat Ridge, CO.
